About Us
A Loveland tradition of food, service, and community on Thanksgiving Day since 2000.
A Loveland tradition of food, service, and community on Thanksgiving Day since 2000.
The Ann Jenson Memorial Community Thanksgiving Dinner began in 2000 with a simple idea: bring people together and make sure everyone in the Loveland community had a place to enjoy Thanksgiving.
What started as a small gathering serving approximately 50 people grew year after year through the generosity of volunteers, local donors, businesses, and community organizations.
Today, the dinner continues in Ann Jenson’s memory and serves hundreds of people each Thanksgiving.
Ann Jenson hosted the first Thanksgiving event at the AVOL in downtown Loveland in partnership with the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. Since then the AVOL and its generous members have remained our largest sponsors, supporters, and partners throughout the years.
Thank you!
Over the years, the tradition has grown...

Ann Jenson is among many groups in Loveland helping others on Thanksgiving. She hosts our first Thanksgiving dinner with the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
The Reporter Herald runs a feature article after "some 500 people" attended in 2010. "We are just happy to do this," Jenson said of the Club's Thanksgiving dinners over the past 11 years.
The tradition continues, serving 36 turkeys, 375 lbs of potatoes, and 40 gallons of green beans and ham hocks in 2012.
Many volunteers return year after year to peel and chop hundreds of pounds of fresh potatoes on Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
Local grocers and other businesses support show interest in supporting the event with food and monitary donations.
Volunteers are overjoyed as the Thanksgiving Dinner returns to full capacity after the the events of COVID-19.
